In looking over lots of (New to me) Materia Medica plants and their extract formulas.

The issue of Alcohol Tinctures being a problem for Alcohols in remission seemed to keep coming up. So this idea came to me, I am not sure it would remove the Alcohol favors if there were some but still, it seemed like it could have many applications in our Botanical Medicines.

Taking a page from making homemade Lime Salt. (dehydration of Lime juice, zest, and salt).

Why not try the same thing with a tincture, instead of Lime juice. Using salt or sugar and gentile slow dehydration of the Alcohol and its water content.

I am guessing that of course, you may lose some very volatile compounds But it seems like an intriguing way to get your Materia Medica in a powdered form for capsules or just sprinkling on your meal.

What are your thoughts on this or references to it being a standard procedure?
